It is a source of pride that every year in the city of Dushanbe, competitions for the Mayor’s scholarships are held for pupils and students of general, primary, and secondary vocational educational institutions, as well as awards from the Mayor of Dushanbe for young researchers in the fields of exact sciences, literature, journalism, art, architecture, engineering and technology, and innovation and invention.
This year, staff members, teachers, and students of the International University of Foreign Languages of Tajikistan named after Sotim Ulughzoda also took part in these competitions and earned honorary places.
In particular, the Head of the Department of Education, Mahmadsaid Gafurov, became a winner of the Mayor’s award in the field of literature, and a third-year student of the Faculty of European Languages, Nasim Davlatshohzoda, was awarded the Mayor of Dushanbe scholarship.
