The Institute’s Registration and Academic Counseling Department is an integral part of the Institute’s structure. It maintains records of student activity under the credit system and recommends the use of student achievements at events, presenting them to the faculty dean’s office for analysis and discussion.
The activities of the Registration and Academic Counseling Department include the following:
- Preparing templates (forms) for various types of student and faculty registration documents according to their curriculum and individual plans;
- Organizing annual student registration for core and elective courses, as well as for faculty members with the assistance of advisors;
- Preparing and monitoring the academic calendar for the academic process;
- Organizing consultations for students and Institute staff on the credit system and other issues related to student and faculty activity;
- Organizing and implementing a point-rating system in the educational process and during examination sessions;
- Monitoring current, midterm, and final exams;
- Providing students with the necessary regulatory documents;
- Preparing student personal academic records;
- Summarizing midterm and final exam results, determining student rankings and submitting them to faculty deans, summarizing each semester’s results and determining each student’s grade point average (GPA) and its compliance with established standards;
- Submitting to the faculty dean’s office and the academic department a list of students who received an F or Fx grade or a GPA below the established threshold;
- Compiling and officially issuing a transcript (academic transcript, diploma supplement) for each student;
- Officially issuing individual student curricula within the established deadlines;
- Preparing applications for student admission to exams based on ranking results;
- Preparing applications for student promotion based on exam session results and their GPA;
- Organizing the archiving of student academic documents;
- Depending on the location of the faculty, the Registration and Academic Advising Department may be centrally established as a subdivision of the Academic Affairs Department;
- The Registration and Academic Advising Department staff includes a department head, a chief specialist, and a specialist;
