At the initiative of the International University of Foreign Languages of Tajikistan named after Sotim Ulughzoda, an open lecture on the topic “The Modern Journalist and Their Role in the Development of Society” has been organized with the participation of well-known and respected journalists of the country.
Today, April 18, 2026, Jamoliddin Yaqubov—Editor-in-Chief of the newspaper “Inson va Tabiat” (“Human and Nature”), Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor, and lecturer at the Department of International Journalism of the Tajik National University—delivered a one-hour lecture to students of the Faculty of Philology and Journalism. He spoke about specialized journalism and the role of journalists in raising environmental awareness in society.
At the end of the session, Jamoliddin Yaqubov presented his newly published book titled “Journalism and Environmental Awareness” to the faculty members of the Faculty of Philology and Journalism. The book addresses key issues related to improving environmental awareness in society.
It is worth noting that, according to the activity plan of the University’s Department of Analysis and Information, such educational and inspiring lectures are held twice a month with the participation of leading journalists of the country and experienced professionals.
