The preparatory courses department at the Tajik International University of Foreign Languages named after Sotim Ulugzoda has been operating since September 2012. Previously, this department was subordinate to the Department of Science, Innovation and Postgraduate Studies. This department has been operating since September 2012.
Classes are held five days a week. In these courses, in accordance with the requirements of the National Testing Center under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, participants are taught the Tajik language, literature, history of the Tajik people, Russian language, English language, mathematics, and human rights for six months of study according to cluster three. At the end of the year, applicants pass a test exam in the above subjects and receive a certificate.
The courses are taught by experienced teachers and scholars. In order to attract students to institutions and gymnasiums, the preparatory department conducts promotional activities and regularly holds interviews with graduates. Advertisements are placed in the press and on the radio to attract listeners.
