The University Testing Center was established by the Resolution of the Academic Council of November 30, 2017 No. 5/4-3, including two working units – the head of the center and a specialist. The testing center is subordinate to the Department of Education in accordance with the structure of the University. The University Testing Center has a database of test questionnaires for all academic subjects in the amount of at least 200 questionnaires (depending on the amount of credit) and various tests (single-answer, double-answer and closed-form). The regulatory legal acts of the testing center and the job descriptions of the center’s employees have been brought into line with the Regulations on the credit system of education in higher professional educational institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan. The general rules of the scoring-rating system and the regulations for assessing the level of mastering the educational programs of subjects have been developed and approved and are used in the educational process and the control and evaluation system.
Main areas of activity of the center:
- Organization of a database (fund) of test tasks to determine the level of mastery of subject curricula by students and implementation of monitoring of the quality of education through the adoption of formative and summative assessments;
- improvement of the set of test tasks and adoption of exams using modern methods (using information technology);
- monitoring and identification of modern teaching methods, compliance of assessment with the content and content of the set of test tasks with subject work programs (syllabus);
- assessment of the level of knowledge of students in accordance with the minimum requirements of the State Standard of Higher Professional Education and monitoring the results of the assessment of subject work programs (syllabus);
- conducting seminars and trainings with teachers to eliminate problems in the development of test tasks and analysis of exam results;
- organization of training and consulting for teachers in order to properly organize the development of various types of tests (single-answer, closed-ended and double-answer) using modern information technology tools;
- implementation of the testing system at the University;
- implementation of taking exams using the testing method in the educational process in order to monitor the level of knowledge of students (interim control) and external control (final control);
