A scientific and practical seminar entitled “Master Rudaki – the Founder of Persian-Tajik Literature” was held at the Faculty of Philology and Journalism of the Tajik International University of Foreign Languages named after Sotim Ulugzoda. The event was organised by the Department of Literary Theory and History in honour of Rudaki Day.
The seminar was opened by Salimi Khatloni, Head of the Department of Literary Theory and History, Doctor of Philological Sciences and Professor, who spoke about the invaluable and enduring legacy of Master Abuabdulloh Rudaki and his significant contribution to the development of Tajik classical literature.
Subsequently, Sharifmurod Isrofilniyo, Doctor of Philological Sciences and Professor of the Department of Literary Theory and History, and Khosiyat Olimi, Professor of the same department, delivered academic presentations on the life and surviving literary works of Master Rudaki.
Furthermore, Olimjon Qosimov, Doctor of Philological Sciences and Professor, and Nurmuhammad Shamsov, Professor, shared their insights into various aspects of Master Rudaki’s literary heritage.
It is worth noting that students of the Faculty of Philology and Journalism recited a selection of Master Rudaki’s enduring poetry, including individual verses, poetic fragments and qasidas (odes), thereby paying tribute to his remarkable literary legacy.
