In the Faculty of Philology and Journalism of the University, on the initiative of the Department of Theory and History of Literature, a scientific-practical seminar was held under the title “Example of Tajik literature – passport of the nation” with the participation of the dean of the faculty candidate of philology, associate professor Saiyora Azimova, teachers and students.
At the beginning of the seminar, the dean of the faculty, Sayora Azimova, spoke about the life and fruitful work of Sadriddin Ayni, his painstaking works and the memories of students, about various aspects of Ayni’s life, and invited young people to read the writer’s works and preserve his memory and protect Ayni’s literary heritage.
At the same time, the Head of the Department of Theory and History of Literature, Professor Salimi Khatloni, as well as professors of the same department—Lolo Davlatbekov, Sharifmurod Isrofilniyo, Olimi Khosiyat, and Nurmuhammad Siroji—delivered speeches about the life and activity, style and manner of the writer, his modern poetry and creative prose, and his valuable works such as “Sample of Tajik Literature,” “Odina,” “The Old School,” “Slaves,” and “The Death of a Usurer.”
They also highlighted the role of Sadriddin Ayni in preserving the Tajik language and national values.
In conclusion, students majoring in Tajik language and literature recited poems from Ayni’s works, as well as several quotations by prominent figures praising him.
