Launch of Literary and Cultural Events Dedicated to the 35th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan

At the initiative of the Rectorate of the International University of Foreign Languages of Tajikistan named after Sotim Ulugzoda, a comprehensive plan of literary and cultural events has been approved to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan. The program is held under the title “The Connecting Link of Our World — Independence.”

In accordance with this initiative, a series of literary and cultural events has been organized with the active participation of university faculty, as well as prominent poets, writers, and performers from across the country.

On April 10, a major literary and cultural event titled “The Connecting Link of Our World — Independence” took place. The event was attended by the Rector of the University, Professor Zhilo Gulnazarzoda, along with distinguished poets Ziyo Abdullo, Salimi Khatloni, Shahriya Akhtamzod, Nurmuhammad Siroji, and Nurullo Orif. The program also featured celebrated performers, including Davlat Nazri, Izzat Sharifi, Safar Rahmon, and Nozimjon Sharipov, as well as members of the university’s academic staff.

In her opening remarks, Rector Professor Zhilo Gulnazarzoda warmly welcomed the guests and highlighted that the organization of such literary, cultural, and educational events reflects the significant achievements of the Independence era. She emphasized that the people of Tajikistan — a nation rich in literary heritage and deeply committed to education and enlightenment — have, under the leadership of the Founder of Peace and National Unity and Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, successfully presented Tajikistan to the global community as a peace-loving, progressive, and dignified country over the past 35 years of Independence.

During the event, poets recited their finest works, captivating the audience with their creativity and depth. The program was further enriched by musical performances from renowned artists. In addition, university teachers presented a vibrant cultural program featuring patriotic songs and traditional dances, leaving a lasting impression on all attendees.
