In the lead-up to the 35th anniversary of the Republic of Tajikistan’s State Independence, the university competitions “Chakomai Gesu” and “Female Student Craftswoman of the Year” continue at the Sotim Ulughzoda Tajik International University of Foreign Languages. These competitions aim to promote national culture and crafts, as well as revive the best folk traditions.
The latest cultural event took place today in a festive and solemn atmosphere, featuring the university’s rector, Doctor of Philology, Professor Zhilo Gulnazarzoda, renowned artists Muharrama Sharifova and Izzat Sharifi, as well as faculty and students.
Responsibility for hosting this latest stage of the competition was assigned to the Faculty of European Languages and the Faculty of Russian Language and Literature. During the competition, participants presented national culture, folk crafts, traditions, and spiritual values of the Tajik people at a high level. Students in national costumes, demonstrating folk crafts, oratory skills, and elements of national rituals, attracted particular attention from those present.
In her speech, University Rector Professor Zhilo Gulnazarzoda noted that holding such competitions is an important factor in preserving national culture, reviving folk traditions, and developing aesthetic tastes among young people.
The cultural portion of the event, which included poetry readings, heartfelt songs, dance and musical performances, as well as vibrant artistic productions, lent a special atmosphere and festive spirit to the event.
