TURSUNZODA — A CELEBRATOR OF PEACE AND FRIENDSHIP

At the initiative of the Department of Teaching Methodology of the Tajik Language and Literature at the Faculty of Philology and Journalism, a scientific and literary seminar entitled “Tursunzoda — A Celebrator of Peace and Friendship” was held in honor of the 115th anniversary of the poet-peacemaker and Hero of Tajikistan, Mirzo Tursunzoda.

The seminar was attended and addressed by the Head of the Department of Teaching Methodology of the Tajik Language and Literature, Candidate of Philological Sciences and Associate Professor Mavzuna Nodirova, along with faculty members and students.

It was emphasized that Mirzo Tursunzoda, through his knowledge, talent, and outstanding public and literary activity, gained wide recognition and left a rich literary heritage for future generations, making a significant contribution to the development of literature and the spiritual culture of the Tajik people. The purpose of organizing the scientific and literary seminar was to preserve Tursunzoda’s literary legacy, honor his memory, conduct an in-depth study of his творчество, and promote the preservation and translation of his works into various languages.

During the seminar, presentations were also delivered by lecturers Marifat Nazarova, Temurali Hafizov, and Zayniddin Abdulhamid. In addition, fourth-year students of the university’s Faculty of Philology and Journalism presented reports on the writer’s life and productive activity and recited poems from his works.
