Cultural Event Held within the Framework of the University’s First International Summer School

On 16 July 2026, a cultural event was held within the framework of the University’s first International Summer School, with the participation of the Rector of the University, Professor Zhilo Gulnazarzoda, Summer School participants, and members of the University’s academic staff.

The event featured a vibrant cultural programme presented by the University’s artistic ensemble, including performances of traditional Tajik songs, national dances, and selected European musical and dance compositions. The programme reflected the richness of Tajik cultural heritage while promoting intercultural dialogue and mutual appreciation among participants.

It should be noted that the International Summer School is being organized in the Republic of Tajikistan for the first time, bringing together undergraduate and graduate students, as well as young researchers from countries across Asia and Europe.

Throughout the two-week programme, participants are provided with the opportunity to study the Tajik language, gain deeper insight into the country’s history, culture, and national traditions, and visit a number of Tajikistan’s historical and cultural landmarks.

The Summer School is aimed at strengthening international academic cooperation, promoting scholarly and cultural exchange, and enhancing the international visibility of the Tajik language, history, and rich cultural heritage.

Participants highly appreciated the warm hospitality extended by the people of Tajikistan and emphasized that initiatives of this nature provide an effective platform for fostering friendship, intercultural understanding, and sustainable international cooperation. Such events also make a valuable contribution to promoting the academic and cultural potential of the Republic of Tajikistan and to further strengthening the University’s international partnerships.
