On 22 September 2026, at the initiative of the administration of the Tajik International University of Foreign Languages named after Sotim Ulugzoda, the 15th “Followers of the Leader of the Nation” Forum was held to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan. The event featured Rustam Duloev, People’s Artist of Tajikistan and an internationally acclaimed opera singer.
At the opening of the forum, the Rector of the University, Professor Zilolo Gulnazarzoda, welcomed the distinguished guests and highlighted the significant role played by Rustam Duloev, People’s Artist of Tajikistan, an exceptional vocalist and internationally renowned opera singer, in promoting Tajik culture and the arts on the international stage.
During his meeting with students, Rustam Duloev shared insights into his childhood, his studies at an arts institution, his travels abroad, his experience of learning foreign languages, and his professional career. He also spoke candidly about the challenges of the operatic profession and recounted memorable experiences from his life.
As part of the programme, Rustam Duloev visited the University Museum and the Faculty of European Languages, where he held a warm and informal discussion with students specialising in Italian.
It is hoped that initiatives of this kind will contribute to strengthening young people’s national identity and self-awareness, while broadening their knowledge, intellectual horizons and understanding of the world.
