On 13 July 2026, the Tajik International University of Foreign Languages named after Sotim Ulughzoda convened a press conference to present the results of its activities for the first half of 2026.
The event was chaired by the Rector of the University, Professor Zhilo Gulnazarzoda, Doctor of Philological Sciences, and was attended by members of the University administration as well as 46 representatives of national and international mass media outlets.
In his opening address, the Rector delivered a comprehensive report on the University’s performance during the first six months of 2026. Particular attention was given to the institution’s achievements and ongoing initiatives in the fields of education, research and innovation, student development, international cooperation, infrastructure enhancement, the digital transformation of university governance, and other strategic priorities of institutional development.
During the question-and-answer session, representatives of the media raised more than 24 questions concerning the preparation of highly qualified translators, the expansion of international academic cooperation, the implementation of new educational programmes, the University’s long-term development strategy, and other key issues relating to higher education and science. Detailed, evidence-based, and comprehensive responses were provided by the University’s leadership to each of the questions raised.
The press conference was conducted in an atmosphere of constructive dialogue, openness, and mutual engagement, providing an effective platform for the exchange of views between the University’s leadership and representatives of the mass media, while reaffirming the University’s commitment to transparency, public accountability, and sustained cooperation with the media community.
