Today, the award ceremony for the winners of the district stage of the republican competition “Shahnameh Recitation” was held in a festive atmosphere at the assembly hall of the Umar Khayyam Educational Lyceum in Sino District of Dushanbe.
The republican competition “Shahnameh Recitation” is organized with the aim of honoring the priceless literary heritage of Hakim Abulqasim Ferdowsi, strengthening national identity and patriotism, as well as promoting the spiritual development of society. The competition also plays an important role in encouraging greater engagement of adolescents and young people in reading classical literature.
It is gratifying to note that lecturers and students of the International University of Foreign Languages of Tajikistan named after Sotim Ulughzoda actively participated in the competition and achieved honorable places:
Gholib Tursunov, Head of the Department of Far Eastern Philology — awarded 3rd place among teachers of all levels of education, as well as academic and literary professionals from scientific, creative, cultural, and artistic institutions;
Safina Sayidmuminova, lecturer at the Department of Teaching Eastern Languages — awarded 3rd place in the same category;
Rukhsora Burizoda, first-year student of the Faculty of Philology and Journalism — awarded 2nd place among students of secondary and higher professional education institutions (including master’s, postgraduate, and doctoral students).
The winners were honored with diplomas and commemorative gifts.
