A scientific and educational session entitled “Youth and Patriotic Responsibility: Reflecting the Achievements of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Media” was held by the “Media Mind” Scientific Club of the Department of Journalism and Digital Information at the Faculty of Philology and Journalism. The event brought together students majoring in Journalism and provided a platform for academic discussion on the role and responsibilities of young people and media professionals in contemporary society.
The event was attended by Doro Navruzoda, Head of the Department of Journalism and Digital Information, members of the academic staff, members of the Scientific Club, and first-year students majoring in Journalism.
In his opening remarks, Doro Navruzoda, Head of the Department, underscored the significant professional and social responsibility borne by knowledgeable and multilingual journalists. He emphasised the importance of professionally and objectively presenting the achievements of the nation and the constructive and enduring initiatives of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, to the international community.
The programme continued with substantive presentations delivered by Zuhriddin Umarov and Gulchehra Sayfiddinova, members of the Department of Journalism and Digital Information. Their presentations addressed the development of Tajik journalism, as well as the contribution of journalists and media professionals to presenting and promoting the country’s achievements during the period of state independence.
The programme was further enriched by a series of informative presentations and engaging video materials prepared by students Nisorat Amirhudzoda, Muhayyo Gafurova, and Farida Ismoilova. Their contributions examined the role of television and radio in enhancing public awareness and education, promoting national interests, and highlighting the professional and social role of journalists in contemporary society.
The session concluded with a discussion of the future activities of the Scientific Club. Muslima Manonova, Head of the “Media Mind” Scientific Club, together with the club members, was entrusted with developing new initiatives aimed at identifying and engaging talented and multilingual students, fostering their professional and creative potential, and further strengthening and expanding the activities of the Scientific Club.
