On August 31, 2026, a solemn ceremony for the presentation of state awards and prizes was held in honour of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, with the participation of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, Qohir Rasulzoda.
It is a matter of great pride and pleasure that Faridun Mirakzoda, Candidate of Historical Sciences and Associate Professor of the Department of History and Intercultural Relations at the Tajik International University of Foreign Languages named after Sotim Ulugzoda, was awarded the Ismoili Somoni Prize during this ceremony.
