The first Summer School, which commenced on 13 July at the Tajik International University of Foreign Languages named after Sotim Ulughzoda (TIUFL), has successfully concluded. The programme brought together undergraduate and graduate students from Italy, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Korea, and Russia.
Opening the closing ceremony, the Rector of the University, Professor Zhilo Gulnazarzoda, emphasised that the implementation of this initiative is a continuation of the policy pursued by the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honourable Emomali Rahmon, aimed at promoting the study of foreign languages and introducing the history, civilisation, literature, and rich culture of the Tajik people to the international community.
Throughout the programme, participants had the opportunity to broaden their knowledge of the history, rich literary heritage, culture, customs, traditions, and national values of the Tajik people.
During the closing ceremony, the Rector presented certificates to all participants in recognition of their active participation in the Summer School programme.
To mark the successful completion of the Summer School, a cultural event was also organised with the participation of the University’s students and academic staff.
It is worth noting that, during the two-week programme, participants visited numerous historical landmarks and picturesque natural sites across Tajikistan, including Sarazm, Panjrud, the Loiq Sherali Museum, the Hissar Fortress, the Mirzo Tursunzoda Museum, Hulbuk, the Mausoleum of Mir Sayyid Ali Hamadoni, the Childukhtaron area, the National Museum of Tajikistan, the Kokhi Navruz Complex, and the Abu Hanifa Nu’man ibn Thabit Mosque.
The participants highly appreciated the organisation of the Summer School and expressed their willingness to continue academic and cultural cooperation with the Tajik International University of Foreign Languages named after Sotim Ulughzoda.
During the closing event, the participants eloquently recited poems by the classics of Persian-Tajik literature in the Tajik language and shared their impressions of Tajikistan, the city of Dushanbe, and the rich cultural heritage of the Tajik people.
