MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING SIGNED WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF WESTMINSTER

On the eve of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed virtually between the Sotim Ulugzoda Tajik International University of Foreign Languages ​​and the University of Westminster (United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland).

The Memorandum was signed on behalf of the Tajik International University of Foreign Languages named after Sotim Ulugzoda by the Rector of the University, Professor Zhilo Gulnazarzoda, and on behalf of the University of Westminster by Professor Dibyesh Anand, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Global Engagement and Employability.

The signing of the Memorandum establishes a framework for strengthening and expanding academic, educational, research, and international cooperation between the two institutions. Potential areas of collaboration include the development and delivery of training courses, joint research activities, academic exchanges involving faculty members and students, the organization of conferences, symposia, and seminars, as well as cooperation in the field of postgraduate education.

The signing of the Memorandum represents a natural continuation of the productive cooperation between the two universities within the framework of the international Accelerating English Language Learning in Central Asia (AELLCA) programme. The agreement is expected to contribute to enhancing teachers’ professional capacity, implementing joint academic and educational initiatives, and further expanding the University’s international partnerships and engagement.

The new agreement marks an important step towards strengthening institutional ties between the two universities and creating new opportunities for academic exchange, professional development, collaborative research, and the sharing of expertise and best practices in the field of foreign-language education.

Through this partnership, the Tajik International University of Foreign Languages named after Sotim Ulugzoda continues to advance its internationalization agenda and strengthen cooperation with leading higher education institutions abroad, contributing to the development of a dynamic and internationally connected academic environment.
