Dushanbe, 4 September 2026 — A scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan was held at the Tajik International University of Foreign Languages named after Sotim Ulugzoda.
The conference brought together the Rector of the University, Doctor of Philology and Professor Zhilo Gulnazarzoda; Doctor of Medical Sciences and Professor Alamhon Akhmedov; Doctor of Philosophy and Professor Said Ahmad; Doctor of Philosophy and Professor Nurulhaq Qamar; as well as members of the University’s academic and teaching staff and students.
In her address, Rector Zhilo Gulnazarzoda extended warm congratulations to the participants on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan. She emphasized that the attainment of State Independence marked a historic milestone that enabled the long-standing aspirations of the Tajik people to be realized and laid the foundation for the country’s political, social, economic, and cultural development.
The Rector underscored that safeguarding State Independence and ensuring its continued strengthening is a shared responsibility of every citizen. She stressed the importance of preserving national interests and values while making a meaningful contribution to the development and international representation of the country.
The conference continued with presentations by Doctor of Medical Sciences and Professor Alamhon Akhmedov, Doctor of Philosophy and Professor Said Ahmad, and Doctor of Philosophy and Professor Nurulhaq Qamar. Their presentations focused on the significant achievements attained during the period of independence, the contribution of the Leader of the Nation to the establishment and development of the modern Tajik state, the achievement of lasting peace and national unity, and the implementation of the country’s strategic development objectives.
Particular attention was also given to a number of important issues, including the patriotic education of the younger generation, the professional development of teachers, the advancement of students’ foreign-language proficiency in the context of digitalization, and the role of the Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, in strengthening and advancing the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The conference provided an important platform for academic discussion, reflection on the country’s achievements during the years of independence, and consideration of the role of education and the younger generation in Tajikistan’s continued development.
