In line with the language promotion policy pursued by the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, the faculty members of the Tajik International University of Foreign Languages named after Sotim Ulughzoda have been engaged in translating and publishing outstanding works of the Tajik people for the past five years.
The University’s faculty members have translated and published the Leader of the Nation’s book The Language of the Nation – The Essence of the Nation, which represents a spiritual heritage of the Tajik people, in seven foreign languages. Its translation into other languages taught at the University is currently underway.
At the initiative and with the support of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, the anniversary of Rabia Balkhi is being widely commemorated in Tajikistan. Furthermore, the 1,050th anniversary of the birth of this outstanding poetess, regarded as a mother of Persian poetry, has been included in the UNESCO Calendar of Commemorative Anniversaries for 2026–2027.
In connection with these significant events, the administration of the Tajik International University of Foreign Languages named after Sotim Ulughzoda, in preparation for the worthy commemoration of the 1,050th anniversary of the first Persian-language female poet, has prepared and published the surviving works of Rabia Balkhi under the title KARONANOPADID, translated into ten languages taught at the University: Russian, English, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, French, German, Arabic, the Persian script (Arabic-Persian script), and Uzbek.
The book has been prepared with the aim of promoting Rabia Balkhi’s literary heritage internationally and broadening knowledge and appreciation of classical Tajik literature.
