On June 11, 2026, the University hosted a Republican Scientific and Practical Conference entitled “The Philosophy of Patriotism and National Unity in the Governance Policy System of the Leader of the Nation.” The event brought together the University Rector, Professor Jilo Gulnazarzoda, First Deputy Chairperson of the Committee for Youth Affairs and Sports under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Shabnam Rahimzoda, as well as prominent scholars and researchers from across the country.
The conference was inaugurated by the Rector of the University, Doctor of Philological Sciences and Professor Jilo Gulnazarzoda. In his opening remarks, he highlighted the education-oriented policy of the Leader of the Nation, Honourable Emomali Rahmon, emphasizing that it was through the Leader’s dedication, wisdom, and tireless efforts that the Peace Agreement was signed in Tajikistan, saving the nation from fragmentation and ensuring a stable future for the country. The Rector also underscored the lasting achievements, farsighted state policy, and continuous care of the Leader of the Nation for the well-being and prosperity of the Tajik people.
Addressing the gathering, First Deputy Chairperson of the Committee for Youth Affairs and Sports under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Shabnam Rahimzoda spoke about the remarkable achievements of the Independence era, the invaluable contribution of the Leader of the Nation to strengthening peace and stability, and Tajikistan’s memorable initiatives and globally recognized endeavors on the international stage. She called upon young people to cherish their homeland, respect national values, appreciate the significance of peace, and follow the noble example set by the Leader of the Nation.
The conference continued with presentations by distinguished experts and scholars. Doctor of Philosophy, Professor, and Director of the State Educational Center for Women “Sarvar,” Nasiba Sodiqi, delivered a report entitled “Unity as a Fundamental Factor of National Statehood.” Doctor of Philosophy and Professor of the Tajik National University Said Ahmadov discussed the significance of National Unity and the contribution of the Leader of the Nation to its consolidation. Doctor of Philosophy, Professor, and Chief Researcher at the A. Bahovaddinov Institute of Philosophy and Political Science of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, Muhiba Mahmadjonova, presented a paper on “The Role of National Unity in the Development of National Culture.” Doctor of Philosophy and Professor of the Tajik National University Mehri Mahmadova spoke on “Independence and National Unity,” while Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor, and Head of the Department of Social Sciences at the Abu Ali Ibn Sino Tajik State Medical University, Maryam Azimzoda, delivered a presentation entitled “National Identity and the Unity of the People as Factors of Social Stability.”
At the conclusion of the conference, the University administration and the Committee for Youth Affairs and Sports under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan awarded certificates and letters of appreciation to the conference participants in recognition of their active contribution to the event.
