Dedicated to Youth Week, World Football Day, and the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, a mini-football tournament among the staff and teachers has been officially launched at the Tajik International University of Foreign Languages named after Sotim Ulughzoda.
The opening ceremony of the tournament was held in a festive atmosphere with the participation of competing teams and football fans. During the ceremony, special emphasis was placed on the importance of sports in promoting a healthy lifestyle, strengthening friendship and mutual understanding, and expanding cooperative relations among university teachers.
Four teams representing the University’s faculties are taking part in the tournament and will compete for honorary places.
According to the results of the draw, the opening match was played between the teams of the Faculty of English Language Teaching and the Faculty of European Languages.
