Today, April 21, 2026, the university stage of the republican competition “Science – The Light of Enlightenment” kicked off.
At the opening ceremony, the Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, Candidate of Philological Sciences and Associate Professor Bakhtiyor Abdurahimzoda, spoke about the constructive initiatives of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon. In his speech, he described the competition as a valuable initiative and emphasized the importance of acquiring knowledge and studying natural, exact, and mathematical sciences among young people.
The Head of the Department of Science and Innovation, Shamsiddin Haybuloev, then addressed the audience, introducing the rules of the competition and presenting the panel of judges.
It is worth noting that the competition is held among university students and pupils of the University Gymnasium in the following categories: mathematics (arithmetic, algebra, geometry), physics and astronomy, chemistry, biology (botany, zoology, anatomy), geography, information technology, artificial intelligence and programming, as well as invention and innovation.
After the competition concludes and the jury presents its final decisions, the winners will be determined and will advance to the next round.
