According to the joint action plan of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan and the International University of Foreign Languages of Tajikistan named after Sotim Ulugzoda, a meeting was held on April 17, 2026, with staff and faculty members. The meeting was led by the Deputy Head of the Anti-Corruption Department of the Agency, Major of Justice Yosuman Abduhalim Akramzoda.
The Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Mahmadsharif Gadozoda, expressed satisfaction with the fruitful cooperation between the University and the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan. He also shared his views on the implementation of the provisions of the “State Strategy for Combating Corruption in the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030” within the institution.
At the same time, the Head of the University’s Legal Support Department, Sabrina Ismoilova, delivered a speech noting that, in line with the university’s action plan, various faculties and departments regularly organize meetings, seminars, roundtables, and open lessons aimed at preventing corruption. She added that the university’s faculty members consistently publish popular scientific articles in mass media outlets.
The Agency representative, Major of Justice Yosuman Abduhalim Akramzoda, spoke about the implementation of relevant laws, the prevention of corruption as a negative social phenomenon, and the serious consequences of engaging in such activities. He also offered practical recommendations to further improve awareness-raising efforts and ensure effective implementation of sectoral legislation.
It was emphasized that corruption is one of the most dangerous phenomena in society, and combating this negative practice is the duty of every citizen of the country, including teachers and staff members.
