In order to strengthen cooperation in the field of education, the Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Republic of Tajikistan, H.E. Mr. Rajesh Uike, paid a visit to the Tajik International University of Foreign Languages named after Sotim Ulugzoda. The distinguished guest was welcomed by the Rector of the University, Professor Jilo Gulnazarzoda. At the beginning of the meeting, the parties discussed issues of bilateral relations and diplomatic cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of India. Further, detailed information was presented regarding the teaching of the Hindi language at the University, the sending of students for short-term studies to India, as well as professional development programmes undertaken by groups of Hindi and English language teachers.
The head of the University also spoke about an important achievement of the University’s Hindi language lecturers — the translation and publication in 2025 of the fundamental work by the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, H.E. Emomali Rahmon, entitled “The Language of the Nation is the Essence of the Nation” into Hindi. As part of the meeting, the Hindi edition of this book was officially presented.
The Ambassador of the Republic of India, H.E. Mr. Rajesh Uike, highly appreciated the translation of this significant work by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, H.E. Emomali Rahmon, expressed his satisfaction, and proposed expanding the participation of students and academic staff in the ITEC and ICCR programmes.
In conclusion, the University administration presented the guest with a copy of the Hindi translation of “The Language of the Nation is the Essence of the Nation.”
During the visit, the Ambassador and his accompanying delegation attended a concert programme prepared by the students in honour of India Week.
At the end of the event, certificates were awarded to the winners of the contests “Best Hindi Language Expert” and “Best Calligraphy,” as well as to the most active participants of the cultural programme.
