DISCUSSION OF URGENT ISSUES IN THE METHODOLOGY OF TEACHING THE TAJIK LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE AT THE NATIONAL CONFERENCE

On December 17, 2025, a republican scientific-practical conference entitled “Pressing Issues of the Methodology of Teaching the Tajik Language and Literature: Ways of Implementing and Applying Modern Methods and Pedagogical Technologies” was held at the Tajik International University of Foreign Languages named after Sotim Ulugzoda, with the participation of leading scholars in this field.

The conference was attended by the Rector of the University, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Jilo Gulnazarzoda; Vice-President of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Muhammaddavud Salomiyon, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the Academy of Education of Tajikistan Irina Karimova,  Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of Tajik National University Saidullojon Negmatov, Associate Professor of the Department of Tajik Language and Literature of the Tajik State Pedagogical University named after Sadriddin Ayni Saida Zaidullozoda, Associate Professor of the Department of the Russian Language of the Tajik State Medical University named after Abu Ali ibn Sino Zebo Samadova, as well as faculty members and students of the University.

At the beginning of the event, Professor Jilo Gulnazarzoda referred to the recent Address of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon to the Majlisi Oli (Parliament) of the country and briefly highlighted its key points.

Continuing her remarks, the head of the University stated: “It is time to organize the implementation of modern pedagogical methods through the use of new technologies so that, when necessary, we can provide students with deep and comprehensive knowledge. Technology should be used to save time, but not as a substitute for books and teachers. We must regard technology as a means of delivering knowledge to students, not as an adversary of teachers or students.”

Further, the Vice-President of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Muhammaddavud Salomiyon delivered a speech on the constructive initiatives of the Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, in the field of education, particularly concerning the introduction of new methodological publications, the effective use of modern technologies in the teaching process, and the integration of artificial intelligence.

Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the Academy of Education of Tajikistan Irina Karimova presented a report entitled “Language Bridge: Tajik and Russian in Modern Society.” Corresponding Member of the Academy of Education of Tajikistan, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of the Tajik International University of Foreign Languages named after Sotim Ulugzoda Saidboy Sherboev delivered a report on “Preserving the Language Means Preserving the Homeland.”
Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of Tajik National University Saidullojon Negmatov spoke on “Effective Ways of Implementing Inclusive Education in the Republic of Tajikistan.” Associate Professor of the Department of Tajik Language and Literature of the Tajik State Pedagogical University named after Sadriddin Ayni Saida Zaidullozoda presented a report on “Competency-Based Teaching of the Poetry of Abulqosim Firdavsi at Various Levels of Education (Using the Example of Moral and Didactic Verses).” Associate Professor of the Department of the Russian Language of the Tajik State Medical University named after Abu Ali ibn Sino Zebo Samadova spoke on “Improving the Forms and Methods of Teaching Medical Students Through the Use of Russian Proverbs in a Multilingual and Multicultural Environment.”

For their active participation and significant contribution to the development of Tajik science, the University administration presented conference participants with certificates.
