At the state educational institution “International University of Foreign Languages of Tajikistan named after Sotim Ulugzoda”

The Research Institute of Linguistics and Translation was created by the decision of the Academic Council of the International University of Foreign Languages of Tajikistan named after Sotim Ulugzoda dated September 27, 2023 No. 2/3-2.

The purpose of the research institute:

The goal of the institute is to centrally provide translation of valuable works of art, history, science, scientific and social works in the field of linguistics and translation from the state language into foreign languages and vice versa.

The main tasks of the institute:

– conducting fundamental and practical research at the University on the topics of linguistics and translation in accordance with the achievements and trends in the development of world science;

– Coordination of the University’s research activities in the field of linguistics and translation;

– Assistance in providing scientific, theoretical and methodological aspects of the process of professional training, retraining and advanced training of linguists and translators;

– Development of a database and scientific and information support for research work in the field of linguistics and translation;

– studying the world experience of research work in the field of linguistics and translation;

– Development of educational and methodological materials and visual aids to improve the educational process at the undergraduate and graduate levels, retraining and advanced training of linguists and translators;

– holding scientific conferences at various levels on linguistics and translation;

– Translation and presentation of valuable scientific and literary works of Tajikistan and the world in different languages.

– – participation in the process of planning theoretical and practical research on issues of linguistics and translation;

– attracting students, undergraduates, applicants, graduate students and doctoral students to research activities in the field of linguistics and translation;

– Participation in the development of interdepartmental and international agreements, programs and projects on scientific cooperation in the field of linguistics and translation;

– Preparation of analytical reports on various issues of linguistics and translation.
