International relations

The International Relations Office plays a key role in developing the University’s collaboration, academic exchange, international partnerships, and integration into the global educational space. Its goal is to strengthen the University’s position internationally and create opportunities for students and faculty in education, research, and cultural exchange. The Office actively collaborates with leading foreign universities, organizations, and international institutions, expanding and strengthening collaboration.

 

Furthermore, the International Relations Office organizes international seminars, forums, and festivals, promotes intercultural dialogue, and expands global cooperation.

Applying to the university is an important step for international applicants, and the Department of International Relations provides comprehensive support to applicants at every stage of this process. The university offers a wide range of academic programs at the bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels, including programs in English, Persian, Russian, English and other languages. The choice of specialty plays a key role in successful education and future career. The university offers programs in the humanities and social sciences focused on the modern requirements of the labor market. The admission process to the university includes several important steps. International applicants must collect a package of documents, including a certificate of completion of a general education institution or diploma, language exam results (for example, IELTS, TOEFL or an internal university exam), a motivation letter and a letter of recommendation. Most importantly, take into account the deadlines for submitting documents and contact the Admissions Office (the university representative associated with international students) with the package of documents in a timely manner. The Department of International Relations provides detailed instructions on filling out forms, submitting applications, as well as advice on accommodation in a student dormitory.

 

After admission, international students receive comprehensive support. The university organizes adaptation programs, Tajik language courses, cultural events and academic consultations, familiarizing international students with the conditions of study at the university and living in the university student dormitory. BACHELOR’S DEGREE

RESEARCH AREAS IN DOCTORAL STUDIES (PhD)

The doctoral studies (PhD) of the university operates 8 specializations, from which 2 specializations have a dissertation council. After completing your Master’s degree, you can choose one of the research areas and study for 3 years for free or on a contract basis. Under the process

The Language Learning Center for Foreign Citizens is one of the subdivisions of the Department of International Relations. Its main goal is to organize language courses offered by the University for citizens of foreign countries.

Anyone interested in learning foreign languages and, at the same time, wishing to become acquainted with the culture and traditions of the Tajik people is welcome to apply to the University or contact the specialists of the Department of International Relations.

Language instruction is conducted by experienced and highly qualified teachers who are native speakers. Learners can study languages individually or in groups. Currently, most foreign citizens apply to study Tajik and Russian languages, and they manage to achieve impressive progress within a short period of time.

DEPARTMENT FOR DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF FOREIGN GRANTS

GOALS AND MAIN OBJECTIVES OF THE DEPARTMENT

The purpose of the Department for Development and Implementation of Foreign Grants is to support projects related to education and to achieve tangible results in the department’s areas of development.

The main objectives of the Department for Development and Implementation of Foreign Grants include:

– developing grant projects to obtain additional funds from foreign financial institutions;

– presenting grant projects to domestic non-governmental financial companies and organizations;

– collaborating with and submitting grant projects to TEMPUS and other financial institutions that provide funds to higher professional educational institutions;

– engaging the best faculty and students in project development;

– developing grant projects on the topics and areas of implementation of state programs;

– obtaining additional grant funds for the development of the University;

– expanding the promotion of grant projects among faculty and students;

– Involving students in the preparation of grants funded by the University;

– Creating separate teams of faculty and students;

– Organizing courses and training sessions for faculty and students interested in developing grant projects;

– Identifying talented and innovative students and young professionals from the University’s faculties;

– Promoting and encouraging innovative projects by students and professionals from the University and other educational institutions through roundtables and scientific seminars;

– Submitting student and young professional projects to national and international competitions to secure a place and funding.

ERASMUS+

ERASMUS+ (Erasmus Plus) is a European Union program aimed at supporting cooperation in education, vocational training, youth, and sport. The program integrates existing programs such as Tempus, Erasmus Mundus, and others.

The main goals of the Erasmus+ program are to improve the quality of education and develop student mobility and cultural ties. Erasmus+ provides a framework for university cooperation and guarantees that participants will receive credit for their time spent abroad (subject to program requirements) upon their return home. The new program is designed to be an effective tool for promoting the development of human and social capital in Europe and beyond.

Programme participating countries: all EU countries, as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, and Turkey.

HORIZON EUROPE

Horizon Europe | European Commission – In 2021, the EU’s 8th Framework Programme for Research and Innovation, Horizon 2020, was replaced by a new one – Horizon Europe. Horizon Europe is the EU’s ninth research and innovation programme. A budget of €95.5 billion is planned for the program period from 2021 to 2027. The program aims to build a knowledge- and innovation-based society and a competitive economy in Europe, while contributing to sustainable development. Horizon Europe will be the largest transnational program supporting research and innovation.

ISTC

The International Science and Technology Center (ISTC) is an intergovernmental organization that brings together scientists with their colleagues and research organizations in other countries. The ISTC is headquartered in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan. Current member governments include Armenia, the European Union, Georgia, Japan, Kazakhstan, the Republic of Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Norway, Tajikistan, and the United States. Scientists from nearly 60 countries have participated in ISTC activities.

The ISTC promotes international scientific projects and helps international organizations.

The University has signed Memoranda of Understanding, agreements, and contracts with 60 universities and institutes from both near and far abroad, as well as with foreign educational institutions and organizations operating in Tajikistan. Through these partnerships, the University has established active cooperation in educational, scientific, and cultural fields.
