LAW OF THE REPUBLIC OF TAJIKISTAN
About the National Anthem of the Republic of Tajikistan

The Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan decides:
1. Approve a new edition of the text and music of the National Anthem of the Republic of Tajikistan with lyrics by Gulnazar Keldiev and music by Suleiman Yudakov.
2. Establish that the universal performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Tajikistan, approved by this Law, is introduced from September 7, 1994.
3. The Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Tajik SSR dated November 4, 1977 “On the new edition of the text of the Anthem of the Tajik SSR” (Vedomosti of the Supreme Soviet of the Tajik SSR, 1977, No. 23, p. 246) must be declared invalid.

POSITION
ABOUT THE NATIONAL ANTHEM OF THE REPUBLIC OF TAJIKISTAN

I. The National Anthem of the Republic of Tajikistan – as a symbol of the statehood of a sovereign, democratic, legal and unitary state, is an expression of the inviolability of friendship and brotherhood of all
peoples and nationalities of the country.
It is the sacred duty of every citizen to honorably respect the Law on the National Anthem of the Republic of Tajikistan.
II. The National Anthem of the Republic of Tajikistan is performed:
1. At the opening and closing of sessions of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, sessions of people’s deputies of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, regions, cities and districts, ceremonial meetings and events,
other anniversaries declared by law to be nationwide and nationwide;
2. At the beginning of republican television and radio broadcasts dedicated to national holidays: January 1 – New Year, March 8 – International Women’s Day, March 21-22 – Navruz, September 9 – Independence Day of the Republic of Tajikistan, November 6 – Constitution Day;
3. Every day at the beginning and end of Tajik radio programs;
4. When holding anniversary celebrations and other events held by government bodies, public organizations, enterprises, institutions and groups in accordance with the permission of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan;
5. During official celebrations, the removal of covers from monuments, sculptures, memorial plaques and other relevant structures, the most important state and social events from the history of the life of peoples, erected in honor of outstanding political, state, military figures, national heroes, figures of science, literature and culture;
6. When awarding state awards to the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, regions, districts, cities, regions, enterprises, institutions and organizations;
7. When raising the State Flag of the Republic of Tajikistan and other ceremonial events held by state and public bodies, institutions, enterprises;
8. During the meeting and farewell of heads of state and government of foreign states officially arriving in our country – after the performance of the National Anthem of this foreign state;
9. The National Anthem of Tajikistan in other cases may be performed by decisions of state and public bodies, heads of institutions, organizations and enterprises in compliance with the requirements of this Regulation;
10. The National Anthem of Tajikistan is performed by an orchestra, choir, choir and orchestra or other vocal and instrumental orchestras. In these cases, it is possible to use audio recording devices.
When performing the National Anthem with vocals (singing), the instrumentality is performed in full; when performing musical instrumentality, the beginning of the Anthem is partially performed, and the chorus is performed once.
11. The text of the National Anthem of Tajikistan must be accurate, correspond to the words and music, and be performed in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the National Anthem of the Republic of Tajikistan”, approved on September 7, 1994 by the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan;
12. When the National Anthem of the Republic of Tajikistan is performed, participants in a mass event listen to it while standing;
13. The National Anthem of Tajikistan is also performed in military units in accordance with this Regulation and the requirements of the combined arms regulations of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan;
14. The performance of the National Anthem of Tajikistan is carried out in the internal affairs bodies, the passage of soldiers, their commanders, as well as in their higher educational institutions and in accordance with the orders of the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan;
15. In schools of the general education system, professional special training and higher educational institutions, during ceremonial events, the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Tajikistan is carried out in the manner established by the Minister of Education of the Republic of Tajikistan;

16. When holding international and intra-republican sports competitions, the National Anthem of the Republic of Tajikistan is performed in accordance with the provisions of the Committee on Physical Education and Sports under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Sports Federation of the Republic of Tajikistan with the consent of trade unions, youth organizations and the Defense Assistance Organization (DAO ).
The ceremony of performing the National Anthem of the Republic of Tajikistan during sports competitions is determined taking into account the experience of international sports organizations;
17. When performed by republican organizations and institutions in foreign countries, the procedure established by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan for performing the Anthem of Tajikistan is carried out, taking into account the national traditions and order of this state;
18. Control over the strict implementation of this Regulation is assigned to the heads of state and public organizations, enterprises and institutions.
In cases of raising the State Flag of the Republic of Tajikistan, when the National Anthem of Tajikistan is performed, the governing bodies and responsible officials are also entrusted with the procedure for its implementation and control over their compliance.
Persons guilty of insulting the National Anthem of the Republic of Tajikistan and violating it are held accountable in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan.

RESOLUTION OF THE MAJLISI OLI OF THE REPUBLIC OF TAJIKISTAN

On approval of the Regulations on
National Anthem of the Republic of Tajikistan

The Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan decides:
1. Approve the Regulations on the National Anthem of the Republic of Tajikistan.
2. Put this decision into effect from the date of publication.
